Sometimes, fate leads us to the ones who need us most. We recently came across a young mommy dog (now named Penny) who was chained and caged in heartbreaking conditions.

 

Her cage was filthy, her water dirty, and she had no shade from the scorching sun. Her white coat was stained with urine, and flies circled around her as she stood helplessly on the short chain that barely allowed her two steps.

Watching her struggle to reach a treat we tossed was painful. We left upset and aggrieved but we’ve learned to turn heartbreak into action. We texted the owner asking for her release, and by divine grace, they agreed. .

 

Penny is HDB-approved, friendly, trusting and estimated to be around 2 years old. We’re now looking for a kind family who will give her the forever home she truly deserves.
