Pebbles

Breed: Singapore Specials
Gender: Female
Age: 3 Years old
HDB Approved

Pebble was the smallest dog in the scrapyard, barely surviving among seven much larger dogs. Every day meant hunger, danger, and fear – dodging heavy vehicles, living with sickness, and staying invisible just to stay alive. But what stayed with us was her struggle to eat among the stronger dogs. When we tossed treats their way, she quietly backed off the moment a bigger dog looked at her, choosing hunger over risk.

Diagnosed with ehrlichia, the first few weeks saw her suffered constantly from vomiting and bloody stools, as her weak body is trying to struggle to recover. Medical bills have continued to grow, and we expect she will need to remain under boarding care for at least another six months. Even now, the mere sight of humans causes her to tremble.
We knew the rescue journey for a skittish dog like Pebble would be difficult and financially tough. But we bit the bullet, because we could not walk away from her.

At less than three years old, Pebble still has a long journey ahead.
