Beautiful Gail Is Looking for a Forever Home
Sometimes, we look at a dog and wish life had dealt them a kinder hand.
Gail has a regal presence that is impossible to miss. Her coat is so thick, soft and long that you can barely feel her frame beneath it. Yet this beautiful 10-year-old dog was born on the streets and has known no other life.
After several incidents of chasing cyclists, complaints were made by frightened passers-by. Their fear was real, but so was Gail’s, as she perceived the cyclists as threats. Unfortunately, when fear exists on both sides, the dog is almost always the one who loses.
With no other options available, Gail’s feeder stepped in and placed her in a kennel.
Eight months have passed. Gail has learnt to walk on a leash and now looks forward to her walks. The human world still frightens her, but she is gradually learning that people can bring safety and kindness. She has made progress, though she still needs time, patience and a gentle person to help her feel completely at ease.
At 10 years old, she deserves to move forward, not spend her golden years behind shelter walls. If you can help Gail take her next step towards a forever home, please reach out to us.
