Breed: Singapore Special
Age: 3 Years old
Despite receiving several adoption inquiries, we have been unable to find a suitable match for Winnie. Families with children, the elderly, or more than two people in the household have been ruled out, as Winnie is not able to cope in a multiple family environment.
Winnie requires someone who not only has empathy and patience but can also provide the right environment for her to thrive. Her lack of ability to handle sudden sounds, movements, territorial instinct towards space and food means she needs a caregiver who is willing to assist her in these areas. And because she have not learn to cope with these stressors, she exhibit her displacement behaviour by biting furniture. However Winnie understands the fear and stress coming from the humans when she’s in this uncontrollable mood and often sought out a place to retreat, never wanting to bite anyone.
We are uncertain about what lies ahead for Winnie, but
this silly girl brings us both joy and challenges, and we are taking each day as it comes. We don’t know what the future holds for her, but we are approaching it with positivity, taking one step at a time.
